Formal
Formal training is NZQA accredited. The teacher or school sets the goals and learning objectives. Formal training includes Primary ITO, Telford, polytechnics, and universities (for diploma, degree and master’s qualifications).
Informal
This can be on-farm on-the-job training by a colleague or manager. DairyNZ discussion groups are an example.
STUDY WHILE YOU WORK
Also known as continued education or life-long learning, take personal development courses, specialist and technical courses to learn and upskill while in employment.
