Matt Benton has worked his way up to be a farm consultant, giving farmers advice ranging from farm management decisions to the strategic direction of their business.

Growing up on a dairy farm and working on farms during school holidays stimulated his interest in farming. He says the best way to learn about farming is to do it yourself.

Matt studied for an honours degree in Farm Management then went overseas and saw farming systems around the world. He says the knowledge he gained from travel, practical experience and university is invaluable in his role, and he finds it very rewarding to see the difference his advice makes to farming operations.
