The overlap of economics and environmental management is an area in dire need of talented and passionate young people, she says.
Carla believes the job opportunities in agriculture are “fantastic”. “Agriculture is a booming industry with strong expansion focus from the Government. Nearly any qualification can be applied to agriculture.”
Carla’s advice to anyone considering tertiary study is, “University is what you make of it. Academics and grades are important, but so is networking and putting yourself out there. So take advantage of opportunities for extracurricular work, internships and any experience that will help your CV stand out.”
