PRODUCTION MANAGER

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

You will ideally have 3 -5 years experience working as a Herd Manager, Assistant Manager or 2IC. This is often the first sole charge position in a dairy farming career, as the person builds their skills towards becoming a farm manager. You will be effective in all areas of production management and supported in the other areas of this role to enable you to further develop your skills. Experience of managing staff is desirable.

IDEAL QUALIFICATION

  • National Diploma in Agribusiness management, Level 4
  • National Certificate in Agribusiness management, Level 4
  • Certificate in Rural Staff Management (or similar)
  • An agricultural science / management bachelor’s degree

The Production Manager works with the support of the farm owner or their advisor, focusing on productivity for the farm.
