OVERVIEW

Farm Assistant is responsible for assisting in day to day operations.

OUTLINE OF ROLE

This “hands on” entry level job is the first step in a dairy farming career. You will gain practical, hands on experience in all aspects of day to day farming. On larger farms you will work as part of a team, while on smaller farms you will often work directly alongside the farm owner. In both cases you will be under direct supervision while you develop your skills and gain experience and responsibility. Working as a Farm Assistant provides an excellent opportunity to be exposed to most tasks conducted on farm.
