Dairy farming is not for everyone.
But for the right person, it is a great job with plenty of opportunities, and on-farm experience is not necessary to get you started.
With the right attitude you can become a herd manager within a few years, a farm manager in five or six years or even run your own business as a sharemilker in the same sort of timeframe.
